Community Engagement Coordinator

Salma is a marine and environmental scientist with expertise in oceanography, fisheries research, and marine ecosystem monitoring. She works with the Fisheries Commission of Ghana where she is involved in marine data collection, fish stock assessment, plankton studies, and environmental impact research. She holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering and has taken part in several international ocean science trainings and research voyages across Africa and Europe, with a focus on plankton ecology, climate variability, and ocean health.

Driven by a passion for science education and community impact, Salma is dedicated to using hands-on learning and mentorship to encourage young girls to explore careers in science, engineering, innovation, and environmental leadership.
