Excitement filled the air as the EcoGirls Innovate team arrived at Prime Roses School. While we
expected the girls to be eager to participate, we were delighted to find that the boys were just as
excited to join the sessions. Although EcoGirls’ mission is to empower girls and help close the
gender gap in STEM, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to learn and be
inspired. We therefore welcomed the boys to participate alongside the girls, creating an
inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Throughout the visit, students participated in interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and practical STEM sessions that encouraged curiosity, creativity, and teamwork. The boys proudly became known as the Eco Boys, showing enthusiasm and supporting the girls throughout the activities, while the girls confidently shared their ideas and embraced every learning opportunity.
The experience reminded us that empowering girls does not mean excluding boys; instead, it means building a generation that values equality, collaboration, and innovation. The visit ended
with smiles, meaningful conversations, and renewed excitement among all the students to pursue science, innovation, and leadership.
